First-time visitors often tell us that  St. Paul’s is a big church.

Lots of entrances and lots of hallways. Fortunately, there are typically lots of friendly folks who can help you get to where you need to go.

We’re glad you’re here, so don’t worry how you’re dressed, or if you are “good enough” to be here. We believe that Jesus Christ makes us ALL valued children of God, and that ALL are worthy to be here!

That’s why you’ll see us practice an open communion, where all are welcome to come forward and experience the grace and undying love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

That’s also why children are welcome at all services. During 9 and 11 a.m. services in the Sanctuary, we typically have children’s sermons with a minister. Childcare is available for children up to 2 years old at the 9, 10 and 11 a.m. hours.  Sunday school is available at 9:15 and 11:15 a.m. for children age 3 through 5th grade.

During the school year, we have three worship services on Sundays:

Praise team 9 a.m.

9 a.m. contemporary worship

9 a.m. worship in the Sanctuary is contemporary, which means:

  • ministers wear street clothes
  • a praise team/band often leads worship music
  • we sing with words on the Sanctuary screen
Acolytes lighting the Christ candles

11 a.m. traditional worship

11 a.m. worship in the Sanctuary is more traditional, which means:

  • ministers, choirs and acolytes wear robes
  • acolytes light candles and carry in the cross
  • a choir leads worship music
  • we sing from red and black hymnals

11 a.m. Open Door Service in Hickey Hall is modern, which means:

  • ministers wear street clothes
  • music is modern with a band
  • relaxed, authentic, comfortable space
  • Concerted effort  to make sure auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners have ways of accessing worship

Fellowship at the CORE

Stop to chat before or after any service.

Before or after each worship service, there’s time to hang out, meet people and get to know us. We look forward to getting to know you!

See more about our morning Coffee Hour.

In the summer (Father’s Day through Labor Day), we follow a slightly different schedule. The early service is held outdoors at 8:30 a.m. and the later services are at 10 a.m. There is childcare for children up to 4 years old at both morning services. There is no weekly summer Sunday school, but children are invited to Fun With Faith one Sunday a month.
